Welcome to the Conanicut Yacht Club website. 2010 marks the 119th anniversary of our 350-member Club. Our Club is thriving due to the excellent volunteerism of our Club members, our dedicated staff and, of course, our beautiful venue. Together, these elements continue to provide a unique Club experience and, over the years, develop many traditions and a special CYC culture.

We are a full service club with waterfront and racquet sports facilities and a clubhouse with dining service and social activities. Our sailing programs are strong and we are proud of our members who are involved in cruising adventures and major racing events including the America's Cup. Our racquets facility features busy activity on both tennis and platform courts.

Our Club appeals to members of all ages but we are particularly proud of the programs for our youth including Junior Sailing and Tennis, Junior Dances and  summer day programs for our youngest members. Our social programs are terrific with large turnouts for Friday's "TGIF" and our Soup & Sloop lecture series. Our winter formal dance is the Snow Ball and August is the time for the Commodore's Ball.

This year, we strengthened our staff with the addition of Paul Hammond, our new Tennis Pro, and Jack Hawkins, our new Steward. Further, Meg Myles is the new Sailing Director for our junior and adult sailing programs. These additions should help our Club Manager, Barry Stacer, run an even more responsive and efficient Club.
