Dear CYC members,

As I assume the position of Commodore of the Conanicut Yacht Club, I want to thank you for giving me this opportunity to lead our Club. My first order of business is to develop our organization structure by appointing committee heads and other responsibilities. While much of the organization continues on under the dedicated leadership of our volunteer committee chairs, a few committees will see transitions. An organization chart along with a newsletter will be included with your September bill.

Volunteerism is crucial to the success of our Club. If you are not on a committee, please consider joining one. It's fun and really helps move our Club forward. You can contact any of the committee heads or contact me directly.

Your new team of volunteers is excited about the opportunity to serve our Club. The survey will undoubtedly surface issues that need to be addressed and we will address these. We will also continue to support the many areas of the Club where we achieve excellence in programs, facilities and services.
