LASERS

Rachel Bryer took first place in the Laser 4.7 Division at the first NBYA regatta at Wickford YC. In the Radial Division Jessica Claflin (Junior Instructor)placed 1st, Jack Largess, 3rd and Adele Huffine (also a Junior Instructor) 5th.

420's

CYC hosted the first NBYA 420 regatta on July 10th- CYC's team of Jack Largess and Kenny Lush placed 7th in their 1st event out of 45 boats. CYC ran a successful event with 6 races with help from Rob Salk, Cory Sertl, David Cain, Lauren Frankenbach, Mary Waddington, Nancy Lush, Barby Carton, Kate Petrie, Onne van der Wal and others. Thanks to all of them!!

OPTIMISTS

The first event was at Ida Lewis YC July 8th. CYC's Nick Sertl was the overall winner besting a fleet of 67 boats. Lindsey Baab was 5th in Blue Fleet (age 11/12) and in Red Fleet (age 13,14,15) Fiona Paine was 5th with Jack Cohen 7th. On Monday July 21st East Greenwich hosted the Optimists - Fiona Paine placed 3rd and Jack Cohen finished 6th in the Red Fleet.

CYC will host the Optimist Regatta on Monday August 4th.

We need volunteers to help with all aspects of running this one day event. We need volunteers both shoreside and on the water. Please e-mail Cory Sertl at corysertl@gmail.com if you are able to volunteer on Monday August 4th. Help make our event successful!!
