Submitted by adutton3 on Wed, 07/15/2009 - 10:24am.

About 40 crazy folks of all levels of inability took to the tennis courts on beautiful Sunday the 5th for a wild round robin, 3-match tournament to begin the Blue Water Tennis day.

At noon, the gaggle of sneakered players, with team Godzilla in the lead, regrouped at the club for lunch and then off on "Bruce B" to six yachts for an equally enjoyable non-spinnaker race to glory.

Submitted by adutton3 on Mon, 07/13/2009 - 6:49am.

On Thursday July 9th CYC hosted the first NBYA 420 regatta of the season. Mike Marshall, coach of the CYC 420 racing class organized 16 CYC racers to race in all 8 of the CYC 420's- a major feat considering many of our sailors had less than 5 days of sailing time in the boats and many are completely new to racing 420's.

There were 48 boats from Yacht Clubs all over Narragansett Bay. Priscilla Szneke and Cory Sertl (Regatta Chair) functioned as mark boats and were ably assisted by parent volunteers, Luke Largess and Jim Breyer.
